The Detroit Lions were one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl heading into the 2024 season, and they certainly looked like they had the potential to be champions during the regular season.
They tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the best record in the league, and they looked unstoppable heading into the playoffs.
However, they surprisingly lost in the divisional round to the Washington Commanders, ending their season a lot sooner than expected.
With this loss in mind, the Lions have already started preparing for the 2025 campaign, hoping to add the necessary pieces over the next few months to make themselves that much better in the new year.
Amon Ra St. Brown recently had Darius Slay on his podcast, who indicated that he still wants to play in the league for at least one more season, if not more.
Slay, of course, used to play for the Lions, so St. Brown made sure to ask him his thoughts about potentially coming back, especially since he just won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.

The cornerback didn’t give a definitive answer either way, but considering that he didn’t say no, Lions fans are at least somewhat intrigued by Slay’s response, hoping he’s willing to entertain the prospect of coming back to the team.
NFL organizations can always use more talented players, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and Slay’s experience and playing ability might make him a desirable target for the Lions, especially since they’re coming off a frustrating playoff loss.
