The Kansas City Chiefs are still reeling from their Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
This was supposed to be a close, hard-fought game between two of the league’s best teams, but instead, it was the Eagles’ game from the get-go, and they never allowed the Chiefs to get back into it.
Championship teams don’t come around that often, and even though the Chiefs have been in the Super Bowl for three straight seasons, their roster has changed a lot over the years, for good and for bad.
With that in mind, Charles Omenihu talked with Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, highlighting the fact that there’s a chance he just played his last game as a member of the Chiefs.
“The NFL, you just never know how things are going to go, you never know if you’re going to get back. I’ve been just so accustomed to championship games, been to four conference championship games in a row, two Super Bowls in a row,” Omenihu said.
Did free agent to be Charles Omenihu think to himself while walking off the field after SB LIX… this could be my LAST game as a Kansas City Chief??

Omenihu spoke about how much he enjoys playing in the biggest games, and that he thrives under the pressure of nationally-televised matchups.
He gets plenty of opportunities to showcase his skills in these games, but he acknowledged that his time could be up in Kansas City.
The NFL is a numbers game, and if the Chiefs can’t keep him around from a financial perspective, he might have to sign with a team that has worse odds of making the playoffs and Super Bowl, which could be a chilling reality for the veteran defender.
