The Dallas Cowboys have found themselves in a difficult spot with one of the best defensive players in the league.
Micah Parsons has voiced his frustrations with the organization, letting the world know that he’s not happy with the way he’s being treated and that negotiating a contract extension hasn’t gone smoothly.
There haven’t been many details to this point regarding the biggest roadblocks in getting a deal done, mostly just that things are moving slowly.
Dianna Russini provided an updated report in a recent video she posted to X, peeling back the curtain and highlighting the biggest issue.
“We say it’s status quo, but I think it’s important to just highlight what’s happening here. Even if Micah wanted to open up this negotiation to remain a Dallas Cowboy, the Cowboys are not allowing that because they won’t talk to his agent,” Russini said.

As Russini mentioned, the Cowboys aren’t even willing to speak with Parsons’ agent, which doesn’t bode well for a deal getting done anytime soon.
An attitude like this could ostracize their star even further, pushing him away from the team and prompting him to seek opportunities elsewhere.
Losing Parsons would be a massive blow to their defense, which would be devastating for a team that’s struggled to gain much traction in the playoffs in recent history.
Whatever Jerry Jones and the front office have to do to get this done, whatever hurdle they need to leap over, they should try to do it, if for nothing else than the good of the team.
The NFC East is proving to be a more difficult beast every year, especially after seeing the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl and the Washington Commanders having a great season in 2024.
Will this situation resolve itself one way or another before the 2025 campaign begins?
