Optimistic Panthers show fight, focus on future

Despite an  8-9 regular-season record, the Carolina Panthers, double-digit underdogs Saturday in the NFC wild-card round, took the Los Angeles Rams to the final seconds at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, before ultimately succumbing in a 34-31 loss.
