The Green Bay Packers‘ offense looked like a juggernaut through the first two weeks of the season.
They quickly took it to the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders, beating two of the NFC favorites coming into the season.
While this start was fantastic, their output over the past two weeks has left something to be desired, as they have not been able to get past the Cleveland Browns or Dallas Cowboys with a win.
This inconsistency is something they’ll have to work on after their Week 5 bye, but they can remain confident that Josh Jacobs is a key to making this offense run.
As “Sleeper Packers” pointed out on X, Jacobs is tied for the third-highest rate of carries and receptions among RBs and WRs, tied for third in total touchdowns, and is elite when it comes to yards after contact per reception and total yards from scrimmage.
Josh Jacobs among NFL RBs and WRs through four games:
90 total carries or receptions (T-3rd)
4 total touchdowns (T-3rd)
14 yards after contact per reception (5th)
385 yards from scrimmage (11th)#GoPackGo

Moving on from Aaron Jones was a frustrating sight for Packers fans when the move happened, but they can’t be upset with these numbers from Jacobs.
His rushing efficiency might not be what the team would like to see through four weeks, but that can mostly be chalked up to the offensive line having so many injuries and pain points.
Once that gets under control and they have their full offensive line together, the sky is truly the limit for what he can do in this offense.
Jordan Love trusts him with the ball in his hands, and he’s never afraid to throw him the ball in space, letting his playmaker go to work with the field in front of him.
