The Carolina Panthers are navigating a transformative season under head coach Dave Canales and general manager Dan Morgan.

After years of struggle, Carolina has climbed above .500 with a 4-3 record following their Week 7 victory over the New York Jets.

The team continues facing significant challenges with injuries and roster depth, prompting multiple recent moves to maintain their momentum heading into a crucial stretch of the schedule.

Injuries have forced the Panthers to evaluate several options at linebacker this week.

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the team worked out four linebackers on Tuesday, including Andrew Farmer, Jah Joyner, Jesse Luketa, and Jeremiah Moon.

Among the group, Moon brings the most NFL experience at 27 years old.

The 6-foot-5, 247-pound linebacker has appeared in two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024.

Across 21 games, Moon has recorded 21 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two starts.

He has shown flashes of playmaking ability while searching for a more consistent role at the professional level.

Carolina signed Moon to their practice squad along with quarterback Mike White.

White joins Hendon Hooker on the practice squad, providing depth behind Andy Dalton as starter Bryce Young remains day-to-day with an ankle injury.

The Panthers released cornerback Keion Crossen and rookie tackle Michael Tarquin to create roster space for the new additions.

The Week 8 moves highlight a team still in transition, balancing health management with developing its young core.

Carolina has won four of their last five games, but offensive consistency remains elusive, placing them around the league’s middle tier.

Their defense has shown resilience while continuing to face tests from elite offensive opponents.

With crucial divisional matchups approaching, including Buffalo and other NFC contenders, roster decisions and injury control could define Carolina’s playoff chances.
