Fewer NFL players have been more highly anticipated than Travis Hunter, at least in recent seasons.
Jacksonville Jaguars fans are excited to see what he can do, but NFL fans in general are curious to see how he’s utilized.
He’s currently listed as a defensive back and wide receiver on the Jaguars’ depth chart, confirmation that the team is prepared to use him on both sides of the ball.
Hunter is an elite athlete who was able to play on offense and defense in college, and while he has said numerous times that he’s ready for the challenge in the NFL, things could be different when rubber hits the road.
While fans still have to wait more than a week to see what he can do on the gridiron, they were treated to a personal announcement from Hunter.
As Bleacher Report noted on X via Hunter’s YouTube channel, the couple will have a welcome addition to their family.

If Hunter didn’t have enough motivation before this, having a family at home should give him an extra boost, knowing the stakes and the future he’s playing for.
The Jaguars could end up being one of the most fun teams to watch this season.
Not only do they have Hunter, but they have second-year wideout Brian Thomas Jr., who turned out to be a star in Year 1, and Trevor Lawrence is slated to take the next step as a passer.
This team has a lot going for it, so it will be interesting to see how everything plays out as the season progresses.
