The San Francisco 49ers had tough luck during the 2024 NFL season when it came to injuries.
This team couldn’t catch a break in that area, having several of their top players miss time for varying lengths.
Having all of these injuries made it nearly impossible for the 49ers to get any sort of traction.
With that in mind, they missed the playoffs by a wide margin, a shocking result for a team that many expected to compete for the Super Bowl.
They are mostly healthy and ready to go ahead of the 2025 campaign, but a recent report from Adam Schefter indicated a slight setback, albeit not from an injury.
Schefter noted that Demarcus Robinson has been suspended for three games due to a drug-related issue that broke league policy.
49ers WR Demarcus Robinson has been suspended three games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, HC Kyle Shanahan told @KNBR.

Robinson isn’t slated to be the WR1 in the offense by any means, but missing out on any depth at that position could put them in a rough spot to start the season.
Brandon Aiyuk should see a lot more targets as a result, as should George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Ricky Pearsall.
With Robinson down, the 49ers will likely need to elevate other players as well, wanting to do whatever possible to not endure any more setbacks in the opening weeks of the season.
When healthy and with their best lineup on the field, the 49ers can be one of the best teams in the league.
Fans are itching to see what this team can do in 2025 and put the struggles of last season in their rearview.
