It’s no secret that the New England Patriots have struggled to find an offensive identity since Tom Brady left.
Brady, of course, is one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, and finding someone to replace him wasn’t going to be easy.
It’s proven more difficult than some impatient Patriots fans expected, however, but there’s reason to believe that the team is in a much better place than they’ve been in years.
For starters, they’ve made a concerted effort to improve their offensive line, which has been among the worst in the league for a few seasons.
Drake Maye is heading into his second season, and now that the dust has settled from his up-and-down rookie campaign, he’s ready to make some noise.
He and his teammates aren’t the only ones who hold this belief, as his new head coach, Mike Vrabel, seems to have growing confidence in him.
Vrabel said as much in a conversation shared on SiriusXM NFL Radio on X, sharing, “I think he gets better every day.”

Some might read into this as just coach-speak, but Vrabel seemed earnest when giving this analysis of his quarterback moving forward.
Maye was highly touted coming into the league, but there were some questions about him. But he’s seemingly answering those with his performance in training camp.
Time will tell what the Patriots’ offense looks like, and particularly, how Maye fares, but all signs are pointing to an improved season for an organization that’s in dire need of some wins.
