The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, giving teams around the league a few more days to finalize their big boards.
Teams across the league have different needs and positional holes that can certainly be filled during the draft, making for an exciting event for every franchise.
Even the best teams from the 2024 season need to think about their future, and these prospects could be the future of their organization, so they need to choose carefully.
One player who has received a lot of buzz leading up to this year’s draft is Ashton Jeanty, one of the most prolific running back prospects in recent history.
Jeanty lit the collegiate world on fire last season, and there’s a lot of hope and expectation that he can be elite and dynamic in the NFL.
With his college tape in mind, and knowing that he’s going to be a first-rounder, Jeanty sent a message to NFL teams, according to the Players’ Tribune via Ari Meirov on X.
In this note, Jeanty told teams that he can provide a Saquon Barkley-like effect to their roster, also indicating that opposing teams won’t be able to bring him down.

This was a compelling message that has since gone viral, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up on draft night and how high he’ll be selected.
Running backs have been devalued as a whole lately, as there have only been 14 taken in the first round over the past decade.
Barkley was the earliest of that bunch, taken with the No. 2 overall pick.
While Jeanty might not go at No. 2, it seems like there’s a good chance that he will be in the top 10, especially after he published this confident letter.
